Duties:

  • Greet and interact with clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system and direct calls to the appropriate person.
  • Schedule patient appointments in accordance with hospital scheduling guidelines
  • Obtain medical and other information from referring veterinarians when needed!
  • Receive deposits and payments and explain payment options to clients.
  • Keep the cash drawer balanced and the daily report up to date.
  • Enter client communication into veterinary software
  • Communicate efficiently with staff members to organize case flow.
  • Perform cleaning duties of the lobby, reception area, restroom, and parking lot.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and walk intermittently
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation
  • The ability to communicate clearly and listen to information through speaking and spoken words
  • The ability to communicate information in writing and understand information presented in writing
