Job description

Security Vendor Management (SVM) Analyst

Location: Vienna, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or candidates authorized to work in the U.S.

Overview

The Security Vendor Management (SVM) team supports Security business units by managing the procurement, oversight, and performance of contracted products and services. This team serves as the primary liaison between Security and Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM), ensuring vendor relationships, contract compliance, purchasing activities, and risk management processes are executed efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in vendor management, procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder relationship management.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM), and senior leadership.
  • Develop vendor engagement and contract strategies that minimize risk while maximizing value.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with Security approval processes.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to Security vendor oversight.
  • Manage SharePoint documentation, intake requests, and work tracking to meet established SLAs.
Vendor Management
  • Conduct market research and identify potential vendors.
  • Coordinate NDA requests with Procurement for vendor engagements.
  • Organize and facilitate vendor demonstrations.
  • Partner with Procurement to obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost-effective sourcing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor points of contact.
  • Manage contract renewals and oversee execution of new agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Manage vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
  • Drive remediation efforts for vendor performance issues.
  • Facilitate vendor meetings and onsite sessions as needed.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and vendor scorecards to support performance reviews.
  • Recommend corrective actions, including vendor or resource replacement when necessary.
Procurement & Business Partnership
  • Serve as the liaison between Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM) and Security business teams.
  • Submit procurement intake requests on behalf of Security teams.
  • Support business units during vendor risk review and due diligence activities.
  • Attend weekly status meetings with Procurement.
  • Partner with Procurement on contract negotiations, sourcing initiatives, and NDA requests.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience with supply chain, procurement, and vendor management processes and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology and contract administration.
  • Experience establishing, negotiating, and enforcing vendor contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience developing and managing formal vendor selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring processes.
  • Proven project management experience leading moderate to complex initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple complex vendor contracts simultaneously.
  • Strong experience with contract monitoring, issue resolution, and vendor performance management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience handling competing priorities.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
