Description Overview

The Vendor & Contract Manager will partner with Procurement and oversee and coordinate relationships with third-party technology providers to ensure that services and products meet organizational needs, performance standards, and compliance requirements. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, IT&S Strategy and Governance.

Scope of the Role
  • As an accomplished leader, you will ensure that vendors meet both technical and commercial requirements. While Procurement will lead the initial sourcing and contracting process, you will  The ensure that the selected vendors meet technical and operational needs.
  • You will lead renewals process and strategy, escalations, and vendor reviews as the central IT&S lead.

Vendor Selection and Onboarding

  • Evaluate vendors based on technical capabilities, cost, reputation, and alignment with business goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements during onboarding.
  • Develop and manage a Vendor Rationalization approach & Vendor Portfolio Strategy
  • Ensure Quarterly Business Reviews are in place for top 10 partners.

Contract and Relationship Management

  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendors to ensure alignment and performance.
  • Monitor contract terms, renewals, and renegotiations.
  • Act as a liaison between internal IT&S stakeholders and Procurement.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track vendor performance using KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure service quality and delivery timelines.
  • Address and resolve performance issues or disputes.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational risks.
  • Ensure vendors comply with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage vendor budgets, invoices, and payments.
  • Analyze cost-effectiveness and ROI of vendor services.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Innovation

  • Align vendor capabilities with IT strategy and business goals.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and vendor innovations.
  • Recommend new vendors or solutions to improve IT operations.


Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead the ITAM Team.
  • Oversee the budgeting and budget management process related to vendor onboarding, invoicing and renewals relative to the IT&S Budget.
  • Collaborate with IT&S leadership and stakeholders to evolve the global IT&S vendor portfolio.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree is typically required.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in IT vendor and contract management.
  • Analytical and research abilities: excellent analytical skills to analyze contracts, spend and capabilities.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee complex renewal processes and stakeholders.
  • Contract management and negotiation experience.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information are valuable assets.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and managing legal costs effectively.
  • Communication: exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Industry knowledge: familiarity with software, hardware and service contracts as well as standards.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience with regulatory compliance technologies is a plus.
