The Velocity Care Clinic Practice Manager II leads urgent care clinic operations, fosters a service-oriented environment, supports staff engagement, ensures high-quality patient care, and drives performance improvement and operational goals.
As part of the management team, participation in a rotating weekend call schedule is expected. The Site Manager may also be asked to assist with coverage at other locations, and some travel may be required. In addition, the role includes a clinical expectation of at least 10% of worked hours as a Clinic RN.
Practice Hours are Sunday through Saturday 8 am to 8 pm including holidays.

The Manager II, Clinic Practice, Velocity Care
  • Provides a positive, rewarding and service oriented work environment which supports high-quality patient centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, score card and process improvement goals and objectives. Monitors and implements new health care services and performance improvement initiatives. Reports to a practice Director. Manages the operations of urgent care physician practice.
  • Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Develops and implements actionable work plans with measurable outcome. Continually assesses and reallocates resources to meet demands.
  • A. Responsible for overseeing day to day operations of a unit or department as it relates to scorecard goals and objectives. Organizes, manages, and controls departmental functions and resources in a collaborative and participative manner for optimal performance of service.
  • B. Proactively identifies and implements cost containment initiatives.
  • C. Coordinates resources to provide adequate staffing for department. Demonstrates effective team building and leadership skills. Establishes day-to-day priorities and directs staff task assignments. Facilitates team in problem solving processes.
  • Holds self and team accountable for maintaining the highest possible performance standards in order to serve customers (patients, employees, physicians, colleagues).
  • A. Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians, other members of the management team and pre- and post-hospital providers.
  • B. Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction with services valuing our customer perspective. Collaboratively implements programs to continuously enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assures the effective and timely delivery of high-quality patient-centered services. Recognizes and acts on opportunities for growth and improvement to advance goals of the organization. Utilizes project management principles to accomplish goals, seeks out appropriate resources, and proactively anticipates change within area of responsibility. Translates goals into department specific objectives and priorities.
  • A. Communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in an ongoing, timely, and accurate fashion. Establishes forums to engage in open, honest, and proactive two-way communication.
  • B. Establishes and continuously evaluates unit processes and reporting procedures to ensure achievement. Revises as needed.
  • Inspires enthusiasm and builds support for projects. Attracts, selects, develops, and retains qualified employees, and is effective in utilizing developmental planning to expand employee skills and abilities.
  • A. Creates a safe working environment while providing opportunities to develop maximum potential. Facilitates professional growth and development including the provision of in-service programming and an effective performance appraisal process.
  • B. Plans for growth, staffing, services, educational opportunities and effective performance improvement in collaboration with Human Resources. Utilizes developmental planning to expand employee skills and abilities.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting standards where applicable (The Joint Commission, CLIA, COLA, OSHA, AAAHC, etc).
What We Require:
Education: Graduate of school of professional nursing. Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
Experience: 3 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrates excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting, organizational and work competency skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access and Power Point. Ability to use electronic medical records.

Compensation Range:
$81,120.00 - $129,792.00
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
