Position Summary

BlueSky is seeking a Principal Executive Recruiter – Engineering & Manufacturing to lead full-desk recruiting efforts within our growing practice. This individual will be responsible for driving new client relationships while delivering exceptional candidates across a variety of engagements.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial recruiter who thrives on building relationships, winning new business, and creating long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate has a hunter mentality, a strong network within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, and a track record of generating revenue through both sales and recruiting excellence.


What You'll Do

Business Development & Client Management

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow BlueSky's Engineering & Manufacturing practice.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure client partnerships through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients' hiring initiatives, operational challenges, and workforce needs.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers, operations leaders, HR teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with existing BlueSky clients to expand service offerings and uncover new opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve business development goals.

Full-Cycle Recruiting & Industry Expertise

  • Manage the entire recruiting lifecycle from intake through placement.
  • Source, recruit, and evaluate top engineering and manufacturing professionals for contract and permanent opportunities.
  • Conduct candidate interviews to assess technical qualifications, career goals, and overall fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, prepare candidates, manage feedback, and negotiate offers.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience while maintaining consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop expertise in manufacturing and engineering hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability.
  • Share market intelligence with clients and internal leadership.
  • Help establish BlueSky as a recognized workforce partner within the manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a full-desk staffing role, combining business development and recruiting responsibilities.
  • Proven success generating new business and growing client relationships.
  • Experience recruiting engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business through prospecting and networking.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Preferred

  • Existing network within manufacturing and engineering organizations.
  • Experience supporting industries such as industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, aerospace, automotive, life sciences, medical devices, consumer products, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience selling staffing solutions including contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and project-based engagements.
