Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Repossession and Remarketing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repossession of vehicles and the subsequent remarketing and sale of the repossessed assets. This includes managing multiple vendor relationships, adhering to regulatory guidelines, and ensuring the repo and remarketing agents are meeting and exceeding core KPI's. The Repossession and Remarketing Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, developing and performance managing the team in a remote environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Personally responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall performance. Perform hiring, training, progressive discipline, and termination activities.
  • Develop strategic remarketing processes and relationships. Interactions may include operational performance reviews, issue resolution, informed of market conditions and customer needs response.
  • Managing vendor relationships, for example, assignment, storage, transportation, and auction vendor to include validation of services, disputes, and complaints.
  • Develop solutions: "sells", but also develops strategic solutions, creating true added value. Oversees daily pre-sale reviews and works closely to ensure vehicle attributes are updated to maximize vehicle value and update floors to reflect trending values.
  • Manage and protect collateral to ensure efficient and effective process is followed for every vehicle
  • Review inventory regularly to validate success from auction assignment to time sold
  • Ensure legal sale date has expired, vehicle has been transported & secured at auction, collaborate with other teams for holds to be removed accordingly, and coordinate with the Titles department to ensure titles are sent to and received by the auctions
  • Coordinate and ensure proper documentation for all vehicle redemptions
  • Establish timely scheduling of vehicles for sale at the auction, ensuring processes are completed within expected timeframes
  • Perform audits before and after sale to validate expenses are proper and approved where needed
  • Establish and maintain excellent service to internal and external partners to enhance recoveries and/or improve efficiencies
  • Protect interest of company by ensuring actions are in compliance regarding organizational goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and state and federal laws to ensure performance standards are achieved and maintained
  • Manage team responsible for closing deals to sell vehicles on time and for the best pricing possible. Responsible for various aspects of their assigned department, including generation and monitoring of reports, letters, evaluation, and scheduling and conducting required coaching with team members.
WHO YOU ARE / WHAT YOU BRING 
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, and 3-5 years of supervisory role preferred, OR proven experience demonstrating:
    • Ability to review and interpret key performance indicators
    • Ability to establish and manage to operational performance goals
    • Ability to identify and resolve operational roadblocks
    • Ability to anticipate short term and long-term problems and implement solutions
    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
    • Ability to influence employee satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding auto auction operations
  • General understanding of vehicle repossession and title processing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools (Excel, 365, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
  • Personal attributes: Commitment / Dependability, Even Temperament, Integrity, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving
  • Talented negotiator and manage to make deals that are not only profitable but a broad experience for both negotiating parties
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $ 80,000 - $ 124,000
