Job description

Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania (new market launch)
Schedule: Full-time, overnight shift (8-hour shift between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM)
Position Type: Tow Truck / Wrecker driver – repossession

We are a growing repossession company expanding into the Allentown market, and we are seeking motivated Tow Truck Drivers to join our team. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will secure and transport vehicles that are due to be repossessed, using information provided by our Repossession Investigators and clients. This is a full-time overnight driving position for experienced wrecker operators who take safety, professionalism, and compliance seriously.

All applicants must have wrecker driving experience, a clean driving record, no disqualifying criminal convictions, and be willing to submit to pre-employment and random drug screenings.

What You Will Do:

  • Safely operate company tow trucks throughout the Allentown and surrounding coverage area.
  • Conduct daily pre‐trip and post‐trip inspections on your tow truck to ensure it is in safe working order and equipped with the proper tools to repossess vehicles.
  • Review the hotlist in RepoReport (or similar system) to identify vehicles in the field that have been located by Repossession Investigators.
  • Review notes and pictures in the system provided by Repossession Investigators before attempting a repossession.
  • Verify the last six (or full) digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) against the repossession order before securing the unit.
  • Repossess vehicles only when you have a valid repossession order in hand containing the VIN, vehicle information, debtor information, and bank/client information.
  • Follow required reporting procedures to notify local law enforcement of repossessions, in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
  • Safely tow collateral back to the company yard once it has been properly reported.
  • Communicate any issues, safety concerns, or unusual situations to management in a timely manner.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a wrecker (tow truck).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Clean driving record that meets our insurance requirements.
  • At least 23 years of age (due to insurance regulations).
  • Valid Medical DOT card, or willingness to obtain one prior to start date.
  • Ability to accurately read and verify VINs.
  • Comfort working independently on overnight shifts while coordinating closely with office staff and Repossession Investigators.

Preferred Qualifications (a plus, not required):

  • Flatbed/rollback experience.
  • Prior repossession, towing, or automotive industry experience.
