Job description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Shop Service Technician to perform tire and tire-related services according to customer needs at our commercial service facility.
Responsibilities:
  1. Works safely at all times, according to standards and policies of OSHA and TIA and complies with company standards and policies regarding safety and efficient performance of services.
  2. Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels at the commercial service center as directed by the manager or senior service technician.
  3. Follows established procedures to inspect tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to the manager and/or customer.
  4. Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
  5. Provides highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
  6. Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
  7. Keeps work areas clean and organized, and uses all company property, vehicles, facilities, tools or equipment properly; notifies manager of need for repairs and maintenance, etc.
  8. Performs other service-related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
  9. Performs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager or Senior Technician.
  10. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements
Education/Experience :
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Prior tire service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 125 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License with DOT medical card.
  • TIA certification required.
