Job description

Ourisman, Trusted Tradition

Here's to those who think differently. The ones who think that a car dealership's first priority should be the guest. Such a candid idea could only come from Ourisman. Because we're forward thinking, just like the communities we serve. Individuals who won't be constrained by how things "have always been done", but instead strive to do things "how they could be done" and "how they should be done." It is a philosophy we have infused into every fabric of our dealerships, from the bottom up, in every department, and in every Ourisman team member. Changing the way we all think about car buying is just the beginning.

Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking an experienced results driven Vehicle Acquisition Specialist. You'll play a key role in supporting our used car inventory strategy by acquiring vehicles directly from customers. In this customer-facing role, you'll engage with prospective sellers, work collaboratively with our sales and service teams, and use a variety of digital tools to identify and act on acquisition opportunities.

More about the role

  • Proactively identify vehicle acquisition opportunities through data mining tools (such as vAuto), service and sales team referrals, and customer outreach.
  • Connect with current and potential customers via phone, email, and in-person to schedule appraisals and present acquisition offers.
  • Conduct vehicle evaluations using tools such as AccuTrade and partner with the Used Car Manager to align with inventory needs and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle information in CRM and appraisal platforms.
  • Support all aspects of the purchase process, including paperwork, follow-up, and ensuring timely payment resolution.
  • Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to review performance metrics, share insights, and support ongoing process improvements.
  • Make 60+ customer contacts per day including next-day service appointment calls and post-service follow-ups.

What we look for

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service (retail, restaurant, call center, etc.) is a plus-but not required. We provide full training!
  • Comfort learning and using digital platforms and CRM systems (experience with eLeads is a bonus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you enjoy talking to people and building trust quickly.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering great service.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance options
  • Short-term and Long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Paid time off and holiday leave
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth

Ourisman Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer. We believe in hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive, people-first culture. We are committed to non-discrimination on any protected basis, such as disability and veteran status, or any other basis covered under applicable law. Should you require accommodation during the interview process, please advise the hiring manager when contacted for an interview.
