Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Satellite Oncology Radiation Therapist (RT) in Albuquerque, NM.

  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services.

Responsibilities
  • Provides health care services using ionizing radiation to administer treatment of cancer in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and quality control procedures.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

  • Graduate of the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) radiologic program or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applicant programs; Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
  • 3 years (5 preferred) full time experience in Varian clinic environment with VisionRT surface guidance (tattoo-less) 
  • CT Simulation with current Philips Brilliance but upgrade planned
  • Experience with Varian Edge including multi-isocenter setups and Hyperarc SRS
  • Epic Electronic Health Record software
  • NM Radiation Therapy Licensed.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
