Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

Institutional Annuities is New York Life's growing specialized annuity business, helping millions of Americans build financial security for retirement. We partner with leading asset managers to deliver innovative retirement and investment solutions to corporations, government organizations, and educational institutions. Backed by New York Life's financial strength, we help organizations manage risk and provide retirement security through solutions including stable value investments and pension risk transfer.

Role Overview:

As a Stable Value Analyst, you'll launch your career by gaining hands-on experience across investments, retirement solutions, and client support. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to analyze data, support business initiatives, improve processes, and help deliver solutions for institutional clients. This role offers broad exposure to investment operations, underwriting, contract management, and relationship management while building the technical and business skills needed for a future client-facing career.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to process efficiency improvements and innovation efforts by leveraging Excel, reporting tools, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and data quality
  •  Assist in the preparation and maintenance of analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Perform data analysis and research to support underwriting reviews, client requests, business initiatives, and operational projects
  • Assist with monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments relevant to stable value products and retirement plans
  • Establish ownership of business processes through guided training and development of business scripted workflows
  •  Partner with colleagues across Investments, Finance, Operations, Risk Management, and Technology to support business objectives
  • Support business development initiatives by preparing market research, competitive intelligence, and industry analysis related to stable value products and retirement plans.
  • Build knowledge of stable value products, wrap contracts, investment strategies, and associated business risks.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  •  2 years+ of experience in financial services, investments, insurance, analytics, or a related environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, business concepts, and investment products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Python, Tableau, SQL, or other analytical tools
  • Exposure to LLMs and their related advanced tooling, Github, Databricks, etc.
  • Familiarity with retirement plans, fixed income investments, or insurance products
  • Progress toward or interest in professional designations such as CFA, ASA, or related certifications

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
