Job Title: DSI Maintenance Technician
Location: Gainesville, GA
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Lead
Direct Reports: Maintenance Supervisor

Normal Work Schedule: The typical working hours vary depending on the schedule offered with a 30-minute lunch.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for the operation and performance of the DSI (Dual Sided Imaging) machine during the assigned shift. The role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to consistently produce quality products that meet or exceed production goals. The individual will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
    • High school diploma or technical school education.
    • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Working knowledge of:
      • Mechanical systems
      • Industrial electrical systems
      • Pneumatic systems
      • Hydraulic systems
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment, Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Experience performing preventive maintenance procedures. Technical school certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, Previous experience operating or maintaining DSI or similar automated cutting equipment, a strong focus and ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and the ability to learn multiple tasks. Self-motivated, strong time management and organizational skills.

    • Key Responsibilities
      • NOTE: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the organization's ongoing needs; these duties are considered marginal Operate and maintain numerically controlled DSI equipment used to cut and portion raw chicken products.
      • Inspect conveyors, spray heads, and related equipment to ensure proper cleanliness and operation.
      • Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
      • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
      • Report equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Lead and Supervisor.
      • Maintain clean work areas and follow GMP requirements.
      • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
      • Support production goals by minimizing equipment downtime.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Work Environment
      • Production floor environment averaging approximately 40°F.
      • Exposure to wet conditions, moving machinery, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and moderate to high noise.
      • Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, slip-resistant boots, and Lockout/Tagout devices.

      Physical Demands
      • Stand and walk for extended periods.
      • Lift up to 75 pounds.
      • Frequently bend, twist, reach, climb ladders, and use both hands and arms.
      • Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
