Summary
The Senior Manager Rental is responsible for leading the business unit to overall profitability and growth of the rental product line through successful implementation of; Marketing, Sales Management & Execution, Financial Responsibilities, Leadership, Operations and Fleet Management, Customer Retention and Development and Communication. This position reports directly to the Director of Rental. This position will directly manage all Rental personnel including; Rental Account Managers, Branch Rental Manager, Rental Counter Supervisors, Management Trainees, Rental Sales Representatives and Sr. Rental Sales Representatives. Each Rental Manager will have approximately 12-14 employees and be responsible for annual revenues greater than $9.5 million.
Essential Functions
  • Marketing
    Driving rental utilization through successful market penetration using sound marketing activities
    Directly overseeing all RAM , RSR and MT marketing activities
    Successfully implementing business units marketing plans including: consumer, local , regional & national programs and
    coordinating all the marketing activities of Rams as well as all rental personnel
    Responsible for all marketing promotions such as direct mail, inbound and outbound telemarketing, outside sales efforts,
    weekly blitz activities and maintains constant communication with the Field Marketing Coordinators
    Ensuring inbound and outbound telemarketing standards are being met at the companies required levels
    Driving and Executing sales events such as blitz's customer appreciation activities etc.
  • Market share & Penetration
    Reacting to market changes with a sense of urgency in order to maintain and grow the market
    Ensuring appropriate staffing levels at all full service locations
    Anticipating market & customer needs by either moving equipment in or out of locations to meet demands and recognize
    and react quickly to market opportunities
    Ability to forecast market potential and demand and optimize and react appropriately with your fleet and sales force
  • Sales Execution
    Establishing and enforcing authority guidelines/limits for pricing within the rental counters, RSRs and RAM sales
    forces
    Maintaining competitive awareness and market pricing
    Monitoring and enforcing price incentives driven by market conditions
    Proactively recognizing and reacting quickly to market supply & demand
    Directly responsible for overseeing the execution of the entire plan to close process at all locations
    Responsible for sales protocols between all RAMS/ RSRs including lead generation and follow up
  • Direct Sales Management of the RAMs
    Directly responsible for RAM quota obtainment in all categories including; New Rental Revenue, Preferred Rental
    Revenue, New Accounts and Lease Conversions
    Conducting weekly sales meetings
    Driving consistent management around pipeline and activity
    Ensuring collaboration with local lease sales force
  • Financial
    Responsible for overall profitability of both the rental and trailer pool product lines specifically achieving both revenue
    and margin plans
    Directly responsible for maintaining compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies
    Ability to forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results accurately and timely
    Responsible for analyzing and interpreting performance through multiple financial reports and metrics

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
