Urology Physician - Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV

Contract Duration: Long-Term VA Contract (Independent Contractor)
Shift Options: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | On-Call 10 days/month (including weekends)
Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia


About This Opportunity

JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Urology Physicians to provide high-quality urological care to Veterans at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. This long-term contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a structured, team-oriented VA environment.

As a Urology Physician, you will provide direct patient care, perform outpatient procedures, surgeries, and specialty exams, while collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams to support Veterans' health and well-being.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in the urology outpatient clinic

  • Perform urology procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries, and bladder cancer procedures

  • Conduct inpatient rounds for urology patients

  • Provide specialty exams (e.g., compensation & pension, Agent Orange) related to urological conditions

  • Collaborate with nurses, residents, and other clinical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care

  • Communicate test results to providers and patients per VA standards

  • Participate in quality improvement meetings, morbidity & mortality reviews, and staff meetings

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the VA electronic health record system

  • Follow VA protocols for patient safety, infection control, and privacy


Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state)

  • ABU Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

  • BLS & ACLS certification

  • Completion of VA credentialing and mandatory trainings (including EHR, HIPAA, patient safety, emergency response, etc.)

  • Proven technical proficiency in urological procedures, including use of holmium laser, ESWL, and fluoroscopy

  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
