The Opportunity

As a Construction Manager, you will play a key role in delivering complex power transmission, substation, HVDC, renewable energy, and grid integration projects. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing site construction activities from project mobilization through completion, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality, environmental, and contractual requirements. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and site personnel, you will help turn project plans into successful field execution. Your work will directly support the reliability, safety, and performance of critical energy infrastructure while contributing to the modernization and expansion of the power grid. In this role, you will gain exposure to large-scale grid projects, collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, and help deliver solutions that support the evolving energy landscape.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Coordinate site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Develop and implement construction execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and schedule performance, taking appropriate corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction personnel to support quality outcomes and on-time project delivery.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts to address constructability considerations and project execution challenges.
  • Coordinate site mobilization, logistics, temporary facilities, and material management activities.
  • Manage change orders, risk mitigation activities, and project documentation throughout construction execution.
  • Support commissioning and project closeout activities to enable successful project handover.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably within power, utility, industrial, transmission, substation, or EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
