Project Coordinator - JLL

What this job involves:

As a Project Coordinator with JLL Project and Development Services (PDS), you'll serve as the backbone of our Center of Excellence, supporting high-profile commercial real estate projects across Charlotte, Raleigh, and St. Petersburg. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in construction project administration while working with a dynamic team that leverages cutting-edge project management technology. You'll be instrumental in ensuring seamless project execution from initiation through closeout, managing critical data, financial processes, and project documentation that keeps complex initiatives on track. This hybrid position combines the flexibility of remote work with meaningful in-person collaboration, positioning you for professional growth within one of the world's leading commercial real estate services firms.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Supporting integrated project management teams throughout the complete project lifecycle, from initial planning through construction and final closeout, ensuring adherence to established Center of Excellence guidelines and quality standards.

  • Processing purchase orders, change orders, and budget approvals while maintaining meticulous project documentation and organizing critical files to support seamless project execution.

  • Monitoring project databases and real-time reporting systems to maintain data integrity, track key performance indicators, and ensure projects remain within budget and on schedule.

  • Managing vendor badging requests and facility access coordination, serving as a proactive point of contact for project-related issues between project managers and stakeholders.

  • Utilizing PDS technology platforms to support account metrics, analyze schedule and financial performance data, and ensure procurement compliance across multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Collaborating closely with your COE teammates to implement best practices, support process improvements, and maintain the high service standards that define JLL's client relationships.

  • Coordinating meetings, arranging catering or travel logistics as needed, and adapting to evolving processes while consistently delivering exceptional support to executive-level internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in construction management or real estate management specifically in a project administration, coordination, or accounting support capacity.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Teams, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, with ability to leverage these tools for reporting, collaboration, and presentation purposes.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed corporate environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate succinctly and professionally with executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional team members.

  • Availability to work hybrid schedule with in-person presence at client offices in Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, or St. Petersburg, FL one day per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting or contracts experience in the construction or real estate industry, providing foundational understanding of financial processes and documentation requirements.

  • Experience with Smartsheets for project tracking and Oracle accounting software for financial management, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn specialized project management platforms.

  • Background supporting projects within corporate real estate environments, with understanding of how construction initiatives integrate with broader business operations.

  • Familiarity with construction terminology, project phases, and typical workflows that occur throughout commercial real estate development and renovation projects.

  • Track record of proactive problem-solving and identifying process improvements, demonstrating initiative beyond assigned responsibilities.

  • Experience serving multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining high service standards and consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Professional interest in career development within project management, construction management, or real estate services, with openness to skill development opportunities.
