Accounting Manager

Ready for a company where your efforts will have an immediate impact and to be a vital member of a small leadership team? We're looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team in the Raleigh area. This role is created specifically to support our next phase of growth. You'll take true ownership of day-to-day accounting operations while working shoulder-to-shoulder with finance leadership as a trusted strategic partner. If you're someone who thrives on building structure, solving problems, and shaping a role from the ground up, this is your chance to leave a lasting fingerprint on a growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
  • Assist with revenue recognition, contract review, and related accounting considerations.
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
  • Assist in the development of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and support capital expenditure tracking.
  • Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, CPA is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting principles, and internal controls.
  • Experience with both the execution of day-to-day accounting activities and the development of scalable processes and controls.
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills including advanced Excel skills
  • Big 4 accounting experience a plus
  • Quickbooks Online experience a plus

Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications.  The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
