Role Overview:
Our rapidly growing Company is looking to hire an Accounting and Finance Analyst to join our team. You will help drive our continued success by providing accounting and financial expertise within our existing close and forecasting process. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer you will focus your talent on maintaining and improving accounting procedures. In addition, you will prepare financial analysis and financial models that will drive improvements in our business metrics that help cross functional teams improve and achieve goals.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting close including bank reconciliations, journal entries, as well as deferred revenue reconciliations and accounting consistent with US GAAP.
- Preparation and reviewing of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Implementing systems, procedures, policies, and tools to drive proper accounting procedures and controls.
- Developing financial analysis and modeling to track, report, and improve on business performance.
- Identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Building strong internal relationships to support successful financial and accounting requirements
Primary Areas of Focus:
- Monthly close including completing account and tax reconciliations.
- Preparing financial statements and related analysis
- Deferred Revenue and related GAAP accounting
- Maintaining existing business and financial models that track and predict future performance
- Special projects and analysis on existing and new markets
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA designation preferred.
- Strong technical accounting experience.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in auditing or accounting
- Comfort with technology and experience implementing process and procedures
- Proactive and passionate about learning
- Strong experience with financials systems, Quickbooks experience a plus
- Proficiency with excel
- Experience in the software industry or public accounting
