Able to lift, push and or/pull objects up to 50 lbs, standing or walking with objects up to 25 lbs, repetitive motion, walking extensively on campus, able to climb stairs and can endure extreme temperatures due to seasonal weather conditions.

Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Postal Worker to join our Auxiliary Services team and support critical campus mail operations. This role plays an essential part in ensuring timely, accurate delivery and processing of mail and packages across the university, helping keep daily operations running smoothly for students, faculty, and staff.
You'll be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail, operating campus delivery routes, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with postal regulations and university procedures.
What You'll Do
  • Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages across campus
  • Deliver mail along established campus routes, ensuring timely and accurate service
  • Assist students, faculty, and staff with mailing questions and service needs
  • Prepare and process accountable mail (e.g., Certified, Registered, Signature Confirmation)
  • Coordinate with external carriers (USPS, UPS, and others) for mail pickup and delivery
  • Maintain records, reports, and documentation for package tracking and billing
  • Support team operations through cross-training and participation in various postal functions
