Job description

Special Instructions to Applicants
Customer service skills and multitasking a must.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in theUnited States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. TheUniversity will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).

Job Summary
This position works in the USPS Contract station area using a POS to sale stamps, money orders, and handing out packages.  Place campus mail in departmental and student boxes through out the day. Responsible for all duties of the contract window including scanning packages, making daily deposits and other task assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  1. Accepts and sorts mail.
  2. Sell stamps, money orders for the contract window.  Do a daily report and deposit for the United Sates Postal service.
  3. Charges out mail for departments and applies postage with a meter machine. 
  4. Rents and closes boxes for students each semester.
  5. Training of student workers to help work the contract station or other areas of the post office. 
  6. Must be willing to follow all postal regulations when accepting mailing of packages.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
