Job Description:
Pitney Bowes is seeking a USPS Data Specialist, 3rd Shift to join our Presort Services team in Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Your hourly pay rate is $20 - $25 paid weekly with the possibility of overtime.
During your first 2 months of training your work schedule for 3rd Shift will be Monday - Friday from 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST.
After your training has been completed, the regular 3rd Shift work schedules will be Monday - Friday from 11:00PM to 7:00AM EST.
This role is responsible for supporting production operations through accurate reporting, adherence to USPS regulations, and effective communication across shifts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
You are a result driven contributor who will be assisting operations in completing required USPS and internal reports, and application of all USPS postal regulations. You are a forward-thinking individual who will deliver clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts and necessary management.
You will:
  • Assist Operations Managers in completing required USPS and internal reports, including job costing and application of postal regulations
  • Ensure clear and accurate communication of operational updates between shifts
  • Prepare and distribute reports as directed
  • Monitor mail processing to ensure production meets USPS deadlines
  • Apply working knowledge of mail data and USPS regulations
  • Develop a working understanding of the Mail Processing Total Quality Management (MPTQM) program
  • Ensure all received mail is processed thoroughly and meets quality standards
  • Support accurate and timely presentation of mail to the USPS
  • Understand how processed data impacts various operational functions

Your background as a USPS Data Parcel Specialist, you have:
  • Receive training to learn the mail and USPS requirements and postal regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic analytical, mechanical and problem-solving skills in response to various daily production activities.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel intermediate spreadsheet applications in Microsoft Office environment.
  • Ability to prepare reports and calculate volumes, rejects and other pertinent data.
  • Math skills will include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and analytical problem solving.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, work effectively under pressure and have strong organizational skills
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
  • Based on operational need you must have a flexible schedule to work overtime, which may include weekends, holidays, and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice.
  • Candidates must have a basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of their native language.

For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
