Description
Twice Threaded is where style, sustainability, and community come full circle. Located in the heart of Long Beach, we are one of the newest thrift destinations in the area, bringing a fresh approach to secondhand shopping through curated everyday wear and a buy-sell-trade experience that keeps great style in circulation. As a growing company with plans to expand to additional locations in the future, we are building a team that wants to grow with us and help shape the future of modern resale.
Our store focuses on everyday wear with thoughtfully curated sections that make shopping fun and easy. We handpick clothing, shoes, and accessories that are still worth wearing and create a clean, organized shopping experience that encourages customers to keep coming back for their next favorite find.
We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer for our buy-sell-trade program. This position plays a key role in shaping the store's inventory by evaluating and purchasing clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories directly from the public. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for style, understands current fashion trends and resale value, recognizes quality and authenticity, and enjoys working directly with customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
As a Buyer at Twice Threaded, you will review incoming items, determine what fits the store's aesthetic and pricing standards, negotiate offers with sellers, and help create a curated shopping experience customers love coming back for. Experience and knowledge in contemporary brands, vintage fashion, streetwear, denim, designer labels, and seasonal trends is required for this position.
This role also includes all core customer service and sales floor responsibilities, including assisting customers, helping put outfits together, maintaining store presentation, organizing merchandise, working the register, processing self-checkout support when needed, restocking inventory, and contributing to a positive in-store experience. We are looking for someone who is both fashion-driven and people-oriented.
Our six-week cycle keeps the store fresh with new arrivals added daily and exciting markdown events leading up to each new collection drop. Customers love the treasure-hunt experience and the opportunity to find one-of-a-kind pieces at accessible prices.
If you have the experience we are looking for, a passion for fashion and resale, and a great personality, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and grow with us as we continue expanding to future locations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Create a friendly, welcoming, and energetic experience for all customers, including those shopping, selling, or trading items.
  • Evaluate clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories brought in by sellers to ensure they meet Twice Threaded's quality, style, and resale standards.
  • Use knowledge of current trends, brands, materials, and resale value to make confident buying decisions that keep inventory fresh and aligned with the store's aesthetic.
  • Authenticate designer and higher-value items as needed to verify brand authenticity and resale eligibility.
  • Communicate offers professionally and accurately, offering sellers cash, Zelle payment, or store credit based on item condition, brand, demand, and resale potential.
  • Work closely with management for approvals on select buys, pricing decisions, and higher-value items.
  • Assist customers on the sales floor by helping put outfits together, answering questions, recommending items, and creating a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing curated sections throughout the store.
  • Support daily store operations including restocking merchandise, organizing inventory, processing transactions, assisting with self-checkout when needed, and maintaining store presentation standards.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, payouts, and inventory-related transactions.
  • Work closely with the management team to help keep the store organized, welcoming, and aligned with the Twice Threaded shopping experience.

Competitive pay based on experience. $20 to $24/hr.
