Job description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in architecture stages, and work with various teams to design, implement, verify, validate, bring-up, and productize sophisticated transceiver architectures. Description
As a Cellular System Engineer, you will be responsible for the pre- and post-silicon bring up, and validation of end-to-end cellular systems. You will understand and map systems algorithms and requirements to HW/FW architecture, simulation and emulation based validation of the control flows and algorithms.","responsibilities":"This position requires strong collaboration with SoC, PHY, RF HW, RF FW, and SW teams to ensure the end-to-end system requirements are met. You will also have a critical hands-on role in pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up of silicon, to support productization.
Preferred Qualifications
MSEE or beyond is preferred.
Experience in the design and bringup of wireless communication systems with expertise in cellular systems preferred.
Strong technical background in 5G-NR/LTE/UMTS (3G/2G) physical layer and protocols.
Hands-on experience in applying AI/ML techniques on real-world data sets to tackle sophisticated engineering problems.
Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.
Hands-on experience in the bring up of real silicon in the lab. Ability to efficiently use lab equipment (such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc).
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree.
Understanding of communication theory and signal processing, AGC, beamforming, Tx power control, mitigation of radio impairments, and calibration algorithms.
Experience with Matlab, Python, and C/C++ and efficient analysis and automation scripting.
Good communication skills, both written & verbal especially in a multi-functional environment.
Demonstrate clarity of thought and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,300 and $210,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
