Job description

Geophysical Logging Technician

Ur-Energy ~ Pathfinder Mines Corporation  |  Shirley Basin, WY

Full-Time    Hourly, Non-Exempt

About the Role

Pathfinder Mines Corporation, an Ur-Energy company, is looking for a Geophysical Logging Technician to operate our truck-mounted logging equipment and collect down-hole data across drill holes and wells at our Shirley Basin ISR operation. You'll process and present that data, and support surveying, lithologic logging, and GIS work independently and as part of the geology team.

What You'll Do

  • Operate a truck-mounted geophysical logging system to collect down-hole data on drilled holes and wells
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot logging, surveying, and down-hole camera equipment
  • Assist with lithologic descriptions, GPS surveying, and cased well logging
  • Enter and manage drilling, well, and GIS data in company databases
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and drillers to keep drilling on schedule

What You'll Need

  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Associate's degree or technical certificate (math, science, GIS, or related) or equivalent experience
  • Comfort with Windows-based programs and willingness to learn GIS and logging software
  • Ability to work independently in remote, outdoor settings for extended periods
  • Strong communication and basic math skills

Physical Requirements

Regularly stands, walks, reaches, and uses hands; frequently climbs, stoops, kneels, or crawls. Lifts up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and 75 lbs occasionally. Works around moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
