Position Overview

We’re seeking someone adaptable, dependable, and excited to grow with a small business across both café and event environments. As a Barista at Friends & Co., you’ll prepare quality beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and help create a warm and welcoming café environment. This role also includes opportunities to support our mobile coffee operations and pop-up events through Cafecito, our sister pop-up coffee shop. 


Part-Time Barista


12–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling across weekdays and weekends. Ideal for individuals who enjoy high-energy service environments and want to support a growing mobile and café-based coffee program.


Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional hospitality and authentic, warm customer service (a must 😀) 

- Prepare espresso beverages and specialty drinks consistently and efficiently

- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café and mobile setups

- Operate Square POS systems and handle transactions accurately

- Support opening and closing responsibilities

- Restock inventory, supplies, pastries, and retail items

- Follow food safety and sanitation standards

- Assist with mobile coffee events, pop-ups, and off-site activations as needed

- Help transport, set up, break down, and maintain event equipment

- Represent Friends & Co. Coffee and Cafecito professionally at all times


Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of barista experience required

- Strong espresso knowledge and ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to multitask and stay organized in fast-paced environments

- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic

- Maintain an active Food Handler Certification

- Comfortable working both in-shop and at off-site events/pop-ups

- Weekend availability is preferred

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

- Reliable transportation required
