The UPS Store – Store Manager

Location: Medina, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Owner

Position Summary

Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume The UPS Store location while delivering exceptional customer service, developing a high-performing team, driving sales growth, controlling labor and operating expenses, and ensuring operational excellence. The Store Manager is accountable for financial performance, associate development, quality standards, and franchise compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily store operations, opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and operational compliance.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop associates.
  • Create labor schedules that balance customer service with payroll efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs including sales, gross margin, labor %, printing revenue, mailbox growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive growth in print, mailbox, packaging, freight, and business services.
  • Maintain excellent inventory control and vendor relationships.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining world-class service.
  • Ensure store appearance, safety, cleanliness, and brand standards.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, shipping, printing, or service management.
  • Prior leadership with responsibility for hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing operating expenses.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with The UPS Store operations is strongly preferred.
