Job description

Strong hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems, including shell scripting and system-level troubleshooting

Proficiency in Ruby, Python and/or Java development

Experience with PostgreSQL database administration or migration support

Proficiency in generating reports leveraging Office products

Experience configuring or supporting Autosys, load balancing, and firewall/network integration in distributed environments

Experience using Splunk or similar monitoring/observability tools for production support

Experience driving the transition of manual processes to efficient, automation solutions

Proven experience supporting application migrations and infrastructure changes

Demonstrated ability to transform manual, day-to-day operational activities into scalable, automated solutions

Strong understanding of deployment processes, release management, testing/UAT, and production validation

Description

Guide or execute end-to-end migration of applications hosted on UNIX/Linux platforms to the target environment

Develop and enhance application code and scripts (Ruby, Python, Java, UNIX/Linux shell) to support migration, remediation, and optimization activities

Perform environment build, deployment, and validation activities, including pre- and post-migration testing

Partner with infrastructure teams to configure and validate load balancing, firewall rules, Autosys, DNS, and network connectivity required for migration cutover

Support database migration activities, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL validations, connectivity, and performance tuning

Monitor application health and migration using observability tools (e.g., Splunk) and participate in triage and resolution

Ensure adherence to enterprise security controls, UNIX baseline standards, and regulatory/audit requirements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Application Development, DBAs, Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity) to address dependencies and risks

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $75.00/hr.
