Job description

Title: DB2 z/OS Support
Location: Albany, NY (First week of work is required to be onsite in Albany, remaining will be remote)
Duration: 7 months
Visa: Only Citizen Candidates
  • DB2 Version upgrade planning, coordination, and implementation for current and future releases- all agencies
  • DB2 Performance tuning (buffer pools, storage, I/O times etc)
  • Software Maintenance & Upgrades (CA tools etc)
  • Contingency Recovery and System Backup & Recovery
  • Maintain, resolve and monitor DB2 system level performance issues
  • Expert level DB2 & z/OS Systems level troubleshooting
  • Assist all agencies with various DB2 related problems
  • Quickly resolve outages
  • Work directly with IBM to resolve product issues & open cases
Proficiency in the following:
  • QMF v7 through V13
  • IBM DB2 TOOLS though V1310
  • IBM DataStudio
  • Platinum Tools / Omegamon for DB2
  • CA Insight, Detector & DB2 Tools
  • COBOL
