What success looks like in this role:

Job Summary

Provides advancedLinux/Unix systems administrationin a 24O7 NOC environment. Handles Level 1 escalations, performs deep troubleshooting, executes system maintenance, and ensures reliability of Linux/Unix-based infrastructure across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Linux/Unix Systems Administration- Administers Linux/Unix development, test, and production servers including reloading, re-imaging, patching, configuration, and shell-level maintenance.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting- Diagnoses and resolves complex Linux/Unix OS, service, and connectivity issues.

  • Monitoring & Proactive Response- Performs daily monitoring of Linux/Unix systems, services, and performance;initiatesproactive remediation.

  • Software Management- Installs, removes, and upgrades Linux/Unix packages using native package managers (yum, apt, rpm, etc.).

  • Incident Remediation- Owns Level 2 Linux/Unix-related tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis.

  • Operational Reporting- Provides system evaluation reports and contributes to operational recommendations for Linux/Unix environments.

  • Documentation & Compliance- Updates system records, ensures licensing compliance, andmaintainsaccurateconfiguration data for Linux/Unix assets.

  • Knowledge Transfer- Creates runbooks and how-to guides; trains Level 1 analysts on Linux/Unix procedures.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination.

  • Strong experience withLinux/Unix troubleshootingand server administration.

  • Ability to support 24O7 operations and rotating shifts.

  • U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residencyrequired.

  • May also hold Windows credentials ifpermitted.

Shift timings:

Shift 1: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm EST

Shift 2: Monday - Friday 3pm - 12am EST

Shift 3: Monday - Friday 11pm - 8am EST

Weekend Shift 1: Saturday & Sunday - 7am - 8pm EST

Weekend Shift 2: Saturday & Sunday - 7pm - 8am EST

* Weekend shifts will also include 16 additional hours during the week.
