Responsibilities:
• Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
• Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
• Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
• Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
• Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
• Analyze business requirements then design, create and maintain applications using SQLRPGLE on IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform.
• Knowledge of Visual Explain and performance tools on IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform.
• Knowledge and use of IBM Rational Developer for i (known as RDi source, debug, etc. tool).
• Knowledge of source control software (Aldon) on IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform.
• Prepare detailed design specifications from which programs will be written, coded, tested, debugged and documented.
• Utilize technology to solve problems and provide software solutions with varying degrees of complexity.
• Work directly with department users to innovate and improve operations & processes.
• Drive to completion all phases of application development.
Qualifications:
Required:
• AS/400 - Experience >= One to Three Years
• IBM iSeries - Experience >= One to Three Years
• PSP Defined SCU in 258
• 4+ years of professional experience with application development - using RPG IV, ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE and CL on IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform
• 4+ years of extensive SQL knowledge, including writing scripts, functions and stored procedures
• Microsoft SQL Server development /SSRS
• Microsoft Visual Studio
• Microsoft .NET tools
• Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus on long-term projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the company
