As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting intakes and thorough assessments for couples and families, followed by developing individualized treatment plans.
• Providing therapy sessions for couples together as well as individual sessions for each family member, addressing a range of issues.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to facilitate effective communication among family members.
• Helping clients navigate challenges such as alcohol abuse, psychological difficulties, grief and loss, family conflicts, job stress, and more.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve holistic patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient progress and adapting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Your role will encompass a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and entire family units. You will work with adults as well as child and adolescent populations, providing therapy that addresses unique dynamics in blended families, parent-child conflicts, and adjustments to significant life transitions, such as separation and divorce.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Solid knowledge of family systems theory and therapeutic methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for helping others.

While not required, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Previous experience working within a community health clinic or behavioral health environment.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote therapy techniques.
• Experience working with varied populations, particularly in settings that address trauma and family dynamics.
