Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Physician, you will join CHI Health and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. You will become part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing academic medicine, and educating the next generation of physicians within a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Every day you will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and critical care services, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, participate in innovative clinical programs, and contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician with strong clinical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and a commitment to teaching and academic medicine. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach to care, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic academic environment.

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and critical care services across the Omaha market in a collegial department with excellent work-life balance
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of pulmonary and critical care conditions
  • Participate in the care of critically ill patients within a full-spectrum ICU program supported by ECMO and eICU services
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes
  • Established Interventional Pulmonary Program offering robotic navigational bronchoscopy and full spectrum of airway and pleural interventions
  • Collaborate with a robust primary care network of more than 250 providers to ensure coordinated patient care across the continuum
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through Creighton University School of Medicine
  • Participate in an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program
  • Contribute to weekly fellowship conferences, grand rounds, and educational programming
  • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities through CHI Health and Creighton University
  • Collaborate regionally and nationally to advance evidence-based pulmonary and critical care practices
