$19.09 to $26.83 Hourly Rate (Based on years of experience) plus shift and weekend differentials. 

Lake Forest Place | Registry | Skilled Nursing Department |8am-4pm| Every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday).

Key Responsibilities

  • This position floats between nursing units and carries a pager to be contacted by unit staff when there is a need for unit secretary services.
  • Handles telephone communications, takes action or delivers messages as necessary.
  • Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned by nurse.
  • This includes but is not limited to initiating and participating in activities on an "as needed" basis.
  • Handles clerical responsibilities associated with admissions and discharges and notifies appropriate departments.
  • The Foster Pavilion unit secretary orders name plates for residents’ doors and keeps biographies up to date.
  • Takes photographs of residents at admission for MAR and those at risk for wandering.
  • Prepares and keeps current activity boards and other logs as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school graduate.
  • Minimum of one year work experience.
  • Secretarial or clerical experience.
  • Reading, writing, and comprehension skilled needed to use medical terminology on the job.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
