Hanker Systems Inc is seeking a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in Healdsburg, California.

Assignment Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 5x8‑hour shifts
  • Shift Times: Variable starts (7 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, or 11 AM)

Requirements

  • Active California RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Minimum 1 year of PreOp/PACU or perioperative experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre‑operative and post‑anesthesia nursing care
  • Perform pre‑op assessments and patient education
  • Monitor patients in PACU and manage recovery from anesthesia
  • Obtain and interpret vital signs, EKGs, and patient status changes
  • Assist with endoscopy, general, orthopedic, and GI procedures
  • Conduct follow‑up calls and discharge education
  • Review patient history, medications, and surgical readiness
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and recovery staff
