CompuRay Medical, a leader in radiology recruitment since 2000, is conducting a confidential search for a prestigious academic medical center in Chicago. We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join the imaging team at this renowned institution. The Role

As a Radiology Technologist in this full-time, mid-shift position, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring image quality, and assisting radiologists in providing accurate diagnoses. Your work will directly support clinical teams in delivering high-quality care to patients at a leading academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Position and immobilize patients for imaging exams, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Image Quality: Review radiographs to ensure high-quality images before submission to the radiologist.
  • Exam Processing: Accurately order, track, and charge exams using the HIS/RIS system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists to obtain "wet readings" and assist with film processing and CD creation upon request.
  • Maintenance: Maintain clean and functional work areas and equipment.
  • Prioritization: Manage urgent exam orders to ensure efficient workflow and timely results.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

Required:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) certification
  • 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in radiology, with familiarity in imaging procedures and practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds

Preferred:

  • Experience in a surgical or operating room environment

  • PTO Cash Out: Full-time employees can cash out up to 40 hours annually; part-time employees can cash out up to 20 hours annually.
  • Sick Leave for casual employees: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
  • Paid Maternity and Parental Leave: Six weeks maternity leave (birth mother) paid at 100% of base pay. Six weeks of paid parental bonding leave at 100% of base pay.

401(k) Retirement Plan:

  • Immediate eligibility for full-time and part-time employees; casual employees eligible after working 1,000 hours.
  • Auto-enrollment at 3% of eligible earnings with automatic escalation up to 6% per year.
  • Employer Match100% match on the first 6% of employee contributions, with 100% vesting after one year of service.
  • Contribution Options – Save up to 80% of eligible earnings on a pre-tax or Roth after-tax basis, within IRS limits.

Childcare and Family Support:

  • Childcare: Available for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten with need-based financial assistance.
