General Laborer - Scaffold Yard

Location: Houston, TX 77017
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Position Overview

1 Resource Group is seeking dependable, hardworking General Laborers to work in a busy scaffold yard in Houston, TX 77017. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position supporting daily yard operations, including handling scaffold materials, organizing inventory, loading and unloading equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn't afraid of physical work, and takes pride in getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload scaffold materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Sort, stack, organize, and stage scaffold components throughout the yard.
  • Move scaffold poles, boards, frames, braces, and other materials by hand.
  • Assist with preparing scaffold materials and equipment for outgoing jobs.
  • Receive and organize returned scaffold equipment.
  • Inspect materials for visible damage and notify supervisors of damaged equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Assist forklift operators and yard personnel with loading and staging materials.
  • Follow all company and site safety procedures.
  • Properly wear required PPE at all times.
  • Perform additional general labor and yard duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements
  • Previous construction, scaffold yard, warehouse, or industrial labor experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat and changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be dependable and report to work on time.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must meet all client and site-specific employment requirements.
