About the role:

Lafayette Federal Credit Union is seeking a Data Platform Administrator to lead the design, administration, and continuous enhancement of the Credit Union’s enterprise data platform. This role is responsible for leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies to deliver reliable data integration, scalable analytics capabilities, effective data governance, and trusted enterprise reporting. The Data Platform Administrator plays a key role in ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security while supporting business operations, financial management, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This position partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive data maturity, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational success.


Requirements:


  • Own and manage the Credit Union’s enterprise data platform environment, including Microsoft Fabric workspaces, OneLake architecture, capacity utilization, platform security, governance controls, and overall platform reliability and availability.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, reconcile, and deliver data from core banking systems, APIs, and external data sources.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data models, shared dimensions, and integrated data structures supporting lending, deposits, general ledger, and other business domains while promoting a trusted single source of truth.
  • Support enterprise analytics through the development and maintenance of semantic models, reporting data structures, automation of recurring reporting processes, and enablement of self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Implement monitoring, controls, and data quality processes to identify pipeline failures, anomalies, reconciliation issues, and performance concerns; troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve data platform performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency while contributing to future-state data architecture and roadmap planning.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and comply with all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and annual mandatory training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC, Cybersecurity, Diversity & Anti-Harassment, and Fair Lending requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and directly related experience.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, data platform administration, analytics engineering, or a related discipline; experience within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders across multiple departments and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data pipeline design, ETL/ELT development, and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data integration patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, security controls, and access management practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of lending, deposit, and financial data structures preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python, Spark, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a general office and hybrid work environment, including prolonged computer use and occasional extended hours to support implementations, system maintenance, or issue resolution.

Pay: $61,934 - $72,000 annually (or $29.78 - $34.62/hr) depending on experience and qualifications.
