Job description

Summary:

Construction Laborers are vital members of the construction crew, responsible for hands on work at the direction of the site foremen to execute daily operations. They are responsible for the hands on physical tasks that help keep the construction site moving. They must be physically fit, quick thinking, and willing to work in a fast paced environment. Tasks will including shoveling, raking, setting pipes and structures, pouring concrete, masonry tasks, small carpentry tasks, and various other manual tasks. They will also be responsible for utilizing power tools and small equipment for the execution of work. They must also ensure all tools, small equipment, and trucks are kept clean and organized at all times.

Type of Work:

Installation of Water Pipe, Sewer Pipe, Drain Pipe, Masonry, Curbing, Sidewalks, Grading, and other Earthwork activities.

Reports To:

Foreman and Site Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Be safety conscious at all times.
  • Uphold a standard of quality in the execution of all construction tasks.
  • Laborers must be physically fit.
  • Must be able to physically push, pull, pry, bend, and twist while using various tools.
  • Proficiency with power tools and running small pieces of equipment.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of tools, trucks, and jobsites.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience working in heavy highway civil construction
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • DOT Physical Card
  • US Work Authorization
  • Valid Drivers License
