Job description

The Practice Manager (PM) contributes to Unify's success by driving account growth, expanding client relationships, leading consulting engagements, and developing consultants within the Growth & Marketing Practice. This role serves as both a trusted advisor to clients and a leader within the firm, partnering closely with account, sales, solution, and practice leadership to identify business opportunities, deliver exceptional client outcomes, and advance Unify's consulting capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings strong consulting experience, proven success managing executive stakeholder relationships, a track record of contributing to solution sales and account growth, and deep expertise across sales, marketing, customer success, revenue operations, or AI-enabled business transformation. The Practice Manager is an ambassador for the firm and embodiment of Unify's values and culture.

The Practice Manager reports to an Account GM or Account Director with strategic guidance from Practice Leadership.

 

Responsibilities

Account Growth & Business Development

  • Drive account growth by identifying client business needs, uncovering transformation opportunities, and aligning solutions to business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with executive and senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Partner closely with account leadership, sales leadership, and solution leaders to support account expansion and consulting services growth.
  • Contribute directly to consulting and solution sales efforts through client conversations, opportunity qualification, proposal development, and solution positioning.
  • Lead discussions with senior client stakeholders focused on growth, operational effectiveness, organizational transformation, and strategic business priorities.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to expand Unify's footprint within existing and prospective client organizations.
  • Contribute thought leadership, industry expertise, and market perspective to support growth initiatives and solution development.

Client Engagement Leadership

  • Lead complex consulting engagements with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and long-term client success.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Partner with engagement teams to ensure delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Maintain visibility into engagement performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support engagement renewals, extensions, and expansion opportunities in partnership with account leadership.

Practice Leadership & Consultant Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop consultants to strengthen consulting capabilities, delivery excellence, and career growth.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, performance support, and professional development guidance.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, accountability, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Support consultant onboarding and integration into Unify's consulting practices and expectations.
  • Advance consultant success through individualized coaching and leadership support.

Practice Operations & Talent

  • Support consultant alignment and matchmaking activities across client engagements.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Practice Leadership to support recruiting, interviewing, hiring decisions, and workforce planning.
  • Help identify emerging capability needs, skill gaps, and development opportunities within the practice.
  • Contribute to retention strategies, leadership development, and practice growth initiatives.

Community of Practice & Thought Leadership

  • Lead and facilitate Community of Practice activities that promote learning, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
  • Develop and share best practices, points of view, case studies, and thought leadership content.
  • Foster knowledge sharing across consultants and practice teams.
  • Help evolve practice offerings, methodologies, and capabilities to meet changing client and market demands.
  • Promote innovation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled business transformation opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of consulting experience.
  • Experience leading client engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated success driving account growth, solution sales, business development activities, or consulting services expansion.
  • Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate business challenges into strategic solutions.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing consulting professionals.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect client objectives to measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to transparency, integrity, and client service excellence.

Domain Expertise

  • Candidates should possess expertise in one or more of the following areas, with preference given to experience in:
    • Revenue Operations, Revenue Intelligence, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Success, AI-enabled Business Transformation across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations
  • Additional relevant experience includes:
    • Marketing Operations & Governance, Marketing Technology (MarTech) & Enablement, Go-to-Market Strategy & Operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quota-carrying sales experience.
  • Experience selling enterprise software and/or consulting services.
  • Experience with AI, analytics, or AI-enabled business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience building teams, practices, or communities of practice.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
