Work Environment

This position is offered on-site at our modern Surgical Center in Wellington, Nevada, where you will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere along with a 5-day work schedule totaling 40 hours per week. Our facility is designed to support top-tier healthcare delivery, and our staff is encouraged to practice at the peak of their licensure, providing the perfect setting for skilled practitioners focused on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own patient panel while effectively handling overflow from physicians, ensuring efficient patient care in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with our medical doctors, supported by full administrative and clinical staff, to deliver superior health management.
  • Engage in 100% clinic-based practice with no on-call responsibilities, allowing for work-life balance.
  • Perform a range of clinical procedures, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, and women's wellness assessments. Additional procedures like colposcopies and circumcisions may be part of your practice, contingent upon your training.
  • Participate in an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) council aimed at promoting collaborative practice and continuous education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Surgical Physician Assistant, you will be dedicated to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on women’s health. You will play a crucial role in addressing various health concerns and providing education tailored to women’s wellness, engaging with patients in meaningful ways that foster trust and improve health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is mandatory.
  • An unrestricted State Medical License in Nevada is required.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job requirement, in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with a Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional active listening, effective communication, critical thinking, time management, and decision-making skills are essential for success.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting is required, with prior experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems is highly desirable and improves workflow efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
