UCT is looking for a talented Shipping and Receiving Technician I to join us in Hillsboro, OR!

The Shipping and Receiving Technician I supports shipping and logistics operations by performing visual inspections, coordinating shipment loading, and preparing dispatch documentation. This role maintains real-time communication with drivers, updates routing as needed, and ensures compliance with packaging and customer specifications. The technician prepares bills of lading and IBSS paperwork accurately and on time, contributing to efficient, compliant, and customer-focused delivery operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs visual transactions relative to shipments.
  • Coordinates and assists with loading of shipments.
  • Prepares dispatch logs for drivers with routs, drops and pickups.
  • Maintains communications with drivers during the day and makes routing updates as necessary as schedule changes.
  • Prepares commercial bills of lading.
  • Prepares IBSS paperwork.
  • Ensures packaging specifications are followed per customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable with automated system (FEDEX, UPS, DHL).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Knowledgeable in packaging and labeling material.
  • Follows and understand Shipping Procedures.
  • Certified to drive a forklift.
  • 1-3 years Shipping Experience.
  • Ability to complete work assignment within the time allotted.
  • Maintain and cleans workstation /work environment.
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirement:

  • 1-3 years Shipping/Receiving experience.

This position is considered a Safety Sensitive Position.
