Lavner Education is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Programming to lead and support our team of regional camp directors. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the performance and development of multiple camp regions and reports to the Director of Education. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Train, supervise and effectively mentor a team of regional managers, providing them with guidance, training, and professional development to ensure success.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team check-ins to monitor progress toward goals and address any challenges.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and accountability among the regional management team, ensuring they are equipped to lead their respective camp sites effectively.

Operational Oversight & Strategy:
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of Company strategy, camp policies, camp procedures, and best practices across all regions to help the Company deliver high quality camps and programs across the country.
  • Work with key stakeholders and regional managers to develop and execute operational plans that align with the organization's strategic goals and meet performance metrics.
  • Serve as a central point of contact, troubleshooting complex issues and providing swift resolutions for operational, staffing, or logistical challenges.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the quality of programs, facilities, and staff performance.

Staffing & HR:
  • Collaborate with human resources to support the hiring, training, and retention of regional managers and, by extension, all camp staff.
  • Assist and guide regional managers in resolving escalated staff conflicts or performance issues, providing guidance on disciplinary actions and best practices.

Communication & Reporting:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the regional management team and senior leadership.
  • Ensure a consistent flow of information up and down the management hierarchy to maintain organizational alignment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years professional work experience, including proven experience in a senior leadership or multi-site management role, preferably within a camp or school environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Management, or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience managing full-time staff is required.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical abilities, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics and solve problems under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional follow up.
