The PMO Director at Landis+Gyr is responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing the Program Management Office to ensure consistent delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary programs across the organization. This role involves creating and maintaining PMO frameworks, standards, and best practices to guide project execution and governance. The Director builds and manages a high-performing program and project management team, drives the adoption of methodologies such as the stage-gate process, and oversees the planning and execution of the entire R&D program portfolio.Â
Additionally, the PMO Director develops integrated master schedules and resource forecasts, ensuring cross-functional alignment among key departments.Â
Strategic planning and execution are central to the role, requiring the Director to deliver results that support organizational objectives while navigating challenges associated with large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.Â
Reporting to the VP of R&D, the PMO Director plays a critical leadership role in supporting company growth and innovation through effective program and portfolio management.Â
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Leadership & GovernanceÂ
  Establish and maintain PMO frameworks, standards, and best practices.Â
  Build and lead a high-performing program and project management organization.Â
  Own the stage-gate process and drive adoption of methodologies.Â
  Maintain, develop and update PMO Governance, standards, best practices, and reporting related to the PM discipline.
Portfolio & Program ManagementÂ
  Responsible for the program delivery and program results for the Americas R&D programÂ
  Oversee planning and execution of the full program portfolio.Â
  Develop integrated master schedules and resource forecasts.Â
  Ensure cross-functional alignment across major groups.Â
Strategic Planning & ExecutionÂ
  Facilitate annual and quarterly portfolio planning.Â
  Align execution with company strategy and customer commitments.Â
Tools, Systems, and MetricsÂ
  Own the program management toolset.Â
  Establish and track KPIs.Â
  Ensure consistent project documentation and cross- functional communication.Â

  Experience in AMI, utility metering, or IoT.Â
  PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent certification.Â
  Experience leading global teams.Â
  Familiarity with hardware build cycles and RF certification.Â
  Previous role in PMO leadership for a R&D program

Pay is in the range of $140,000 - $188,583 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
