Job Description:

The Freight Forwarding Operations Senior Supervisor supports the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. Ensures that freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, etc.). Collaborates with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments.
Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field. May have responsibility for supervising others in the capacity of a "player coach" but primary focus is individual expertise.
Applies conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Performs a mix of routine and novel work assignments. Analyzes multiple data sources, both qualitative and quantitative, to understand problems related to own job discipline. Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions. Impacts the team's productivity and quality. Builds consensus among members of the team or related teams regarding technical issues related to own job discipline. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory responsibilities include allocating work to employees, overseeing performance, monitoring results, and supporting employee development.

  • Manage and perform multiple administrative tasks simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency. This role will also involve a high volume of administrative work.

  • Work effectively in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple systems, administrative tasks, and employees.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks at the same time.

  • High level of technical skills, including the use of various computerbased programs-both companyproprietary systems and standard software such as Word, Excel, etc.

  • Strong organizational abilities with close attention to detail.

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

Shift: 2:00 PM to Midnight
