Summary
The Senior Analyst, East Coast SCM Team 2 position will be responsible for freight forwarding operations. Primary duties of this role will include customer relations, coordinating ocean services, air import and export services, inland freight services, warehouse and distribution services, updating database systems, operational reporting to the Manager, and ad-hoc project support.
Responsibilities
• Inbound & Outbound Freight Forwarding Daily Operations Support
• Work with various clients, vendors, agents, and airlines to process import/export shipments accordingly
• Populate and update systems and track shipments
• Monitor and support freight moves with carriers and inland freight providers
• Prepare required shipping documents including BL, AWB's, POD's, Delivery Orders, Authority make entry, truck bills, etc
• Develop knowledge of all modes of transportations
• Daily Coordination with Customers and Agents
• Provide assistance with customer/agents inquiries
• Monitor inbound/outbound shipments for timely release, pick ups and deliveries
• Handle customer shipment routing requests, and assign approved service provider for transportation based on carrier matrix and other factors
• Ensure carriers, vendors compliance with customer requirements
• Customer Service
• Prepare required documents including commercial invoices, etc as requested by the customer
• Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
• Responding promptly to customer inquiries
• Communicating with customers through various channels
Compensation Range
$55,000 - $65,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
