Job Details:

Export Clerk (Distribution Clerk) - Logansport Distribution Center

Job Summary: The Export Clerk (Distribution Clerk) at Logansport Distribution Center is responsible for managing export documentation, supporting audit activities, and coordinating with shipping operations. This role ensures compliance with USDA requirements and accurate recordkeeping, while maintaining effective communication with internal and external team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Print export applications and generate export stickers, verifying their accuracy.
  • Print export certificates for USDA approval and ensure correct export letterhead usage.
  • Verify weekly export orders and prepare applications for processing.
  • Provide information for export audits to internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare CHEP Bills of Lading (BOLs) and perform CHEP pallet reconciliations to ensure accurate counts on outbound orders.
  • Separate and prepare shipping orders for box and combo loading operations.
  • Communicate effectively with USDA, scheduling, Export Services, traffic, International Sales, and customers.
  • Maintain daily communication with USDA and coordinate document activity with inspectors, veterinarians, and Export Services.
  • Demonstrate export documentation procedures to audit teams and Tyson team members.
  • Pull and scan shipping orders as needed for management and claims purposes.

Reporting and Collaboration

The Export Clerk collaborates closely with USDA officials, Export Services, audit teams, Tyson team members, and other departments to ensure seamless export operations. This role requires daily communication and coordination to meet regulatory and operational standards.

B Shift: Monday - Friday (4:00PM - 12:30AM) and Saturday as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 plus years Office experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with USDA, Export Services, and other internal and external team members.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with export requirements.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance, with fewer than 3 attendance points.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred.
