Job description

The Seacrest Studios - Media Production Specialist will span a number of disciplines such as on-air broadcaster, photo/videographer, video/audio editor, program developer, media specialist, and more. These disciplines will incorporate various skills including technical journalism, marketing, film, television and radio production. The specific job responsibilities will vary depending upon the assigned discipline (i.e. videographer, A/V tech, media specialist, etc.) and experience level. Media Production Specialists are responsible for establishing positive associations with all of Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) audiences, which may include internal stakeholders, patients and families, media, celebrities, community, referring physicians, payers, partners, healthcare industry and the public at large. The Specialist takes assignments and direction from the Seacrest Studios Manager.

Shift: Days. Monday - Friday
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepares, produces, and executes daily on-air broadcast in Seacrest Studios (this will include being on-air)
  • Operates, installs, and maintains studio equipment (JVC/V-mix switcher, SAS M Class 20.2 console, Castus, Apple production computers, media hard drives, file backups, etc.)
  • Sources and edits audio/music files in Avid Pro Tools, creating new radio playlists in ENCO software
  • Creates visual still and motion media with various cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud software
  • Leads audience-building initiatives, engages patients, and raises awareness of Seacrest Studios programming
  • Produces stories, creates highlight emails, captures photos and video for a range of projects including social media, posters, advertisements, email, corporate identity pieces, and externally-facing website
  • Collaborates with multiple departments in developing programming, communications concepts, and stories that reflect the unique position and value of Seacrest
  • Studios and CHCO to our diverse audience segments
  • Works within creative and graphic standard guidelines
  • Follows creative and technical direction of Seacrest Studios Lead from concept to delivery
  • Manages own project workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, assignments, requirements, and goals as needed
  • Helps to ensure successful representation of the CHCO and Seacrest Studios brands across media, through knowledge of brand standards, design templates, and systems architecture
  • Additional duties as-assigned, both inside and outside the Seacrest Studios

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degrees
    • Bachelor's degree in copywriting, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or a related field.
  • Equivalency
    • Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $63,317.59 to $94,976.38
