Job description

Working under the Lead Turnaround Scheduler, the Senior Turnaround Scheduler supports turnaround planning and execution by working with Turnaround Management to develop a detailed, resource-loaded schedule for a Nexus client, analyzing overall resource utilization, and tracking progress toward turnaround completion.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule the turnaround from the initial planning and preparation phases through execution and post-turnaround review.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain turnaround logic networks, schedules, risk management data, forecasting, earned value analysis, schedule variance analysis, and schedule quality checks.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Project Services Department and Turnaround Management on all scheduling and planning matters related to turnaround execution.
  • Collaborate with the Turnaround Management Team and Discipline Leads to develop a comprehensive turnaround plan and ensure accurate status updates.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating procedures and instructions for the preparation and maintenance of turnaround plans and schedules.
  • Support Turnaround Management with reporting, including risk analysis and earned value.
  • Review schedule progress and productivity of turnaround services, track and monitor earned value progress.
  • Monitor actual progress compared to the baseline, and report the analysis to Turnaround Managers and Functional Managers.
  • Participate in regular schedule reviews to ensure turnaround reporting requirements are met.
  • Meet with Discipline Leads and Turnaround Managers to update the turnaround schedule.
  • Assist in the development of reports on earned value and schedule variances.

Competencies/Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years' experience developing maintenance and / or outage schedules in industrial environments
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • PMP, PSP or CCP certification, a plus
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
