Job description

Turnaround Construction Coordinator / Turnaround Field Lead (Non-DOT)

Location: Sabine Pass

Duration: 9 months

Rate: $80-85 per hour


We're seeking an experienced Turnaround Construction Coordinator / Field Lead to support turnaround, outage, and maintenance activities at industrial plant and pipeline facilities. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for coordinating contractors, driving safe execution, maintaining schedule performance, and ensuring quality throughout all phases of turnaround work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field execution during turnarounds, outages, shutdowns, and maintenance projects
  • Serve as the primary liaison between contractors, field crews, maintenance teams, and turnaround leadership
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, including OSHA compliance, permitting, JSA reviews, and LOTO procedures
  • Supervise contractor performance, workforce productivity, and daily construction activities
  • Monitor schedules, progress, costs, and field-level scope changes
  • Support QA/QC activities, inspections, audits, material management, and equipment readiness
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, procedures, and company standards
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Inspection, Integrity, and Pipeline teams to support successful project execution


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of construction and turnaround field experience (15+ years preferred)
  • Experience in Refining, LNG, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, Midstream, Pipeline, or Upstream facilities
  • Strong background in contractor management and field execution leadership
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, permitting systems, JSA reviews, and LOTO processes
  • Valid Driver's License
  • TWIC Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
