About Ameren Missouri

Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area

Job Description

Ameren Missouri is part of St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation, generating almost 10,200 megawatts and serving 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri, including 130,000 natural gas customers. Our 4,000 employees account for more than one third of Ameren's 8,500 total workforce and our service area covers 63 counties and more than 500 towns, including the greater St. Louis area.

This position provides TEMPORARY support to our Energy Centers. Selected candidates will work up to a maximum of 1000 hours per calendar year.

Key responsibilities include

  • Performs a variety of general labor and cleaning in and around an Energy Center on energy center equipment in operating areas and shops.

  • To do such work in connection with operating, construction, repair, and maintenance of generating station property, including use of electrical and air powered tools; operating sump pumps; working at times on jobs involving scaffolding and platform work; the use of hoisting and rigging methods; and similar and less skilled work as assigned.

  • Under direct, but not constant supervision, working a rotating or day shift schedule, as required.

Working Locations

  • Ameren's Coal Fired Energy Centers located in Alton IL, Festus MO, Labadie MO or Arnold MO.

  • Ameren's Nuclear Plant located in Fulton MO.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete the EEI power plant battery aptitude test.

  • Candidates who have been referred by Ameren's TRW Program Coordinator strongly preferred.

Hourly Pay:

Grade Step OA 087 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 24.87 USD
